Every rental in Oak Grove arrives self contained, because there is almost no sewer to tie into. The city bills water and wastewater for two neighborhoods only, and everywhere else runs on a well and a septic system, on lots of at least two and a half acres, across a city more than eighty-five percent rural. Building continues: a fourteen million dollar city hall and fire station has been going up on Nightingale Street since last fall.
The Rum River runs along the western edge with Cedar Creek and Seelye Brook feeding into it, and the open land is genuinely open: the Cedar Creek Conservation Area covers 550 acres and the Refuge Golf Club and wedding venue another 350. Lake George Regional Park has a beach and six small pavilions, and the Rum River Regional Trail links the county parks. Nearly everyone owns their home, and the driveways are long.

Usually, and it is worth mentioning when you book rather than on the day. What matters is width, overhead branches and whether the surface holds a loaded truck in wet weather. If the driveway is tight we will place the unit at the nearest workable point and walk the rest with you, which is better than finding out at delivery.
Mostly it needs more than people expect. A property with a house on a private well cannot absorb a hundred guests, so the units are not a backup, they are the facilities. Count vendors and staff as well as guests, add a handwash station wherever food is served, and place the bank far enough from the ceremony to be out of the pictures.
Guest numbers and hours together, not guests alone. The industry standard puts a four hour event of a hundred guests at two units and five hundred guests at five, and a longer event needs more because the same people come back. Warm weather or alcohol adds twenty to thirty percent on top of that.
Not for the unit, but the approach needs thinking about. Long unplowed driveways and soft spring ground are the two obstacles, not the cold. We look for a spot with a firm approach and some shelter from the wind, and on a rural property that is usually near the yard rather than out at the far end of the lot. A wedding on private land takes event units and a sink, since there is nothing to plumb into.
